After the great success of last year’s edition, Promovetro Consortium is bringing the works of Murano glass in Piazza San Marco.
The fascinating show will be featured every day, except Sundays, in the “Bottega” of Promovetro Consortium, from 3 to 5 PM.

Each day a different master glassmaker, coming from one of the concessionaires of the Vetro Artistico Murano trademark, will demonstrate to the people gathered for the carnival the beauty and charm of glass working and the value of Murano objects, fruit of the work, the effort and the skill of our masters.

“If Mohammed will not go to the mountain, the mountain come to Mohammed: an opportunity to bring outside of Murano, in the most beautiful and prestigious stage of the world, one of the most unique art forms that brings together almost thousand years of history, culture and tradition – says Luciano Gambaro president of Promovetro Murano Consortium.

We want to involve the public, let people know Murano Glass and help them to recognize the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, the only legally recognized proof of origin to identify the works coming from Murano.
Especially now that we introduced the new traceable label for the Vetro Artistico Murano trademark which, thanks to modern technologies, will allow the customer to retrace, via smartphones, tablets and PCs, the entire history of the product, reconstructing its creation process. Indeed a real identity card of the product, which guarantees its originality, uniqueness and the value of the creative process.”

“And this year there is more – We will give space to other glass making techniques, such as engraving and lampwork; these also are part of Murano glassmaking and they have to be part of this stage.
“We have also devoted some moments to the companies out of our association, in fact we want to prove once again our desire to approach and involve the entire Murano island as much as possible.
