On Saturday, 25th October, at the sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice, Salvatore Sciarrino was  awarded with  UNA VITA NELLA MUSICA Prize, founded by Bruno Tosi and arrived at its 27th edition. The award is organized by Fondazione Teatro La Fenice, and can count on the prestigious collaboration of Consorzio Promovetro Murano, the managing authority for the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark. Promovetro donated to Salvatore Sciarrino a plate in red glass, decorated with gold leaf. In addition also the clarinettist Michele Marelli (who performed together with flutist Federica Lotti a short concert programme with music by Sciarrino and Stockhausen), the composer Federico Gardella and the musicologist Emanuele D’Angelo, were awarded during the ceremony.

 

This event which see the collaboration between Consorzio Promovetro and the Venetian Theater belongs to a series of initiatives between the two institutions, for elevating the image of the city in the world, and to make known its excellences, such as Opera and artistic Murano Glass.
