Venice 20th July 2013
The Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark will be one of the protagonists of Redentore night.
On Saturday night at 8 o’clock at Palazzo Ducale, every guest of the gala dinner which will take place at the Doge’s Palace, will receive a small present, a Murano glass amber coloured, lion head “osella” obviously marked with the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark.
This small precious gift is to remember how in Venice the artistic craftsmanship tradition is still present and how Murano glass is part of these excellences.
Thus Consorzio Promovetro will give the guests a Vetro Artistico® Murano “osella”, a gift with a historical meaning, as “oselle” used to be the ancient Venetian coins; nowadays they represent this ancient elegance, and during the night of Redentore, the importance of the one thousand years old Murano glass tradition.
“We are happy to collaborate with Vela corporation and the city of Venice, for one of its most important feasts. Also today, after so many centuries, Redentore combine sacred and profane. It is a ritual for Venice inhabitants, and also an event which appeal many tourists” says Mr. Luciano Gambaro President of Consorzio Promovetro.
“We are honoured to carry our history, art and culture, which are parte of Venice history art, and culture, in a place that has been the cradle of Venice itself for centuries. All the “osellas” are characterised by the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, managed by Consorzio Promovetro, which guarantees the origin of the glass product.
Our aims consists in the promotion of original Murano glass, and the protection of our one thousand years old tradition against those who want to destroy it with counterfeit products”
