More than 500 selected artisans, along with an extraordinary public accompanied the 83rd Florence International Artisan Fair at Fortezza da Basso in Florence, from the 24th April till 1st May 2019, 8 days full of quality exhibitions, events and seminars.
At Cavaniglia Pavilion visitors could discover the quality, excellence and originality of the fascinating art of Murano glass which was perfectly represented by Barbini Specchi Veneziani, Esse2 Murano and Tiozzo Sergio di Claudio Tiozzo, concessionary companies of the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark. These companies showed to the public their craft techniques and original processes: the art of glass engraving and the production of antique and modern Venetian mirrors of Barbini Specchi Veneziani, the Venetian glass beads of Esse2 Murano and the murrino glass of Tiozzo Sergio di Claudio Tiozzo.
At MIDA 2019 visitors could also observe fascinating live craftsmanship of the artisans of Barbini Specchi Veneziani and Esse2 Murano, demos which showed the roots of genius and “handmade”.
