Murano glass piglets and flags with the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, for the Regata Storica 2013.
Consorzio Promovetro’s participation to the 2013 edition of Regata Storica is extremely rich!
As in every year, since 2002 a couple of Murano glass piglets worked in crystal and gold leaf, refined in red and gold, has been given to the 4th placed team of the “gondolini” regatta, replacing the traditional pig, which in previous editions used to be transported on a boat during the race.
Promovetro created four Murano glass flags, which have been awarded to the male and female winning teams of the regatta, and will be given during the official cermony which will be held at the Malibran Theatre
The Murano glass flags are reproduction of the real flags usually given to the winning teams of the Regata Storica. They are realized through the fusing technique and hand decorated with 24 kt gold leaf.
They are going to be given to winning team of male on “Gondolini” regatta and this year ,also to the winning team of the female competition, in order to give also to the female side of the rowing world, so important for its tradition, a suitable tribute.
Consorzio Promovetro also took part to the 9th Universities Race, through the creation, in collaboration with Cà Foscari and Iuav, of the official trophy for the winning team.
The race, which has become a part of the Regata Storica, is extremely popular among the students, and open to all international universities.
The University race trophy is clear blue on a black base, and it is inspired by the shape of a row. Murano Glass Osellas, have been given as prizes for the second and third placed teams.
All prizes are handmade, created with the traditional Murano glass techniques and characterised by the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark.
