No time to take stock of the third edition of the festival that the organizing committee is pleased to announce the dates of the next edition of The Venice Glass Week which will be held from 5 to 13 September 2020.


The assumptions bode well, the third edition ended with a record of 103,000 visitors who were able to enjoy 107 exhibitions and installations, 37 openings, 22 workshops and demonstrations, 14 presentations and conferences, 13 guided tours, 7 performances and shows, 5 recreational activities and 1 night run between the streets and furnaces of Murano, for a total of 206 initiatives!

The success of the third edition shows how The Venice Glass Week has become a fixture of the Venetian autumn, giving a vital contribution in terms of innovation, as the festival has become an important appointment for companies and artists who want to experiment and present new products, in terms of internationalization, since it is an opportunity for Murano to collaborate and engage with international artists, and for the city to attract quality tourism and in terms of production, as the festival brings new orders for Murano companies, which aims to regain the role of reference center for artistic glass, also at international level.

We will soon open the requests for participation for the next edition, earlier than previous years,” says the organizing committee composed of Town Council of Venice, Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, LE STANZE DEL VETRO – Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti and Consorzio Promovetro Murano – in order to give everyone more time to present even more refined and quality projects.


The Venice Glass Week has been included among the “Great Events” of the Veneto Region.
