The Lagoon Monster is rising again, this time in the water of the Yerebatan, Sultanahmet, Istanbul, where it will be presented on March 3rd at 6.30 pm to the Turkish and Italian authorities. After the first stops in Cavallino – Treporti, Venice and Ravenna, the masterpiece is now ready for its first international event. The lagoon monster is the result of a significant team work which involved some local professionals and craftsmen, with the help of Consorzio Promovetro Murano. The structure is made of steel and covered with a skin made of Murano Glass, which has been realized by a glass company which is bearer of the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark. The event will see among the others, the participation of the Italian ambassador in Turkey Gianpaolo Scarante and the mayor of Cavallino – Treporti Claudio Orazio. The architect Simona M. Favrin will explain the projects together with the glass master Nicola Moretti and the cultural consultant Jean Blancheart. The Lagoon Monster will be exposed at the Yerebatan, Sultanahmet, Istanbul from 3rd March to 6th April.
