Venezia, 18 luglio 2013. Le chiavi della città e un raffinato piatto di colore verde acido, realizzato a mano dalle sapienti mano di un decoratore artigiano muranese, con decorazione in foglia d’oro. Questi premi saranno consegnati sabato 20 luglio 2013 alle ore 12, nelle Sale Apollinee del Teatro La Fenice, a Myung-Whun Chung, il famoso direttore d’orchestra coreano vincitore quest’anno della XXVIesima edizione del premio “Una vita nella musica”. 

Il grande artista coreano, dopo il successo riscosso dall’Otello, dirigerà venerdì 19 luglio il Requiem di Verdi a Palazzo Ducale.

 

Al maestro Chung sarà appunto donato un piatto aperto a mano, in vetro artistico di Murano, che avrà impresso il Marchio Vetro Artistico® Murano a garanzia e tutela dell’origine del prodotto. L’iniziativa rientra nella collaborazione che un’importante istituzione quale La Fenice ha deciso di portare avanti insieme al Consorzio Promovetro di Murano, al fine di portare le eccellenze di Venezia nel mondo: quindi, la musica e il vetro artistico. Due eccellenze, appunto, che vanno a braccetto e hanno l’obiettivo comune di divulgare la propria storia per rafforzare la loro immagine a livello internazionale.

Nel corso della serata saranno consegnati anche i premi “Nuove generazioni”, che consistono in tre eleganti calici soffiati a mano, in stile classico, impreziositi e decorati con foglia d’oro. I tre calici sono dedicati a un giovano compositore, Jorg Widmann, a giovane musicologo, Marco Targa e ad un giovane interprete, Herbert Schuch.
